Our training course

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including a heart attack or near drowning, in which a person has stopped breathing.
When the heart stops, lack of oxygenated blood can cause brain damage in only a few short minutes and cause death within 8 to 10 minutes. CPR can keep oxygenated blood flowing to the brain and other organs until more definitive medical treatment can restore a normal heart rhythm.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. According to the American Heart Association, nearly half a million Americans die from a cardiac arrest every year and more than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of the hospital each year.
In the event of a cardiac arrest, an automated external defibrillator (AED) can aid is saving a life. However, only about a quarter of Americans say there is an AED at their workplace.
The greatest obstacle to responding is lack of confidence. Someone has to act, to take the lead. Armed with knowledge and practice, you’ll have that willingness to act.

Many people do not have the knowledge or confidence to aid others when it comes to First Aid and CPR emergencies, and often don’t know the proper way to help themselves.
Everyone can learn how to provide First Aid, CPR and AED care. However, many people feel helpless to act during an emergency because they either do not know how to administer care or their certification has lapsed. The life you save could be someone you love because more than 80 percent of cardiac arrests occur at home.
First Aid and CPR in the Workplace: According to a report from OSHA, First Aid emergencies often happen at work and nearly 10,000 cardiac arrest situations occur in the workplace each year, yet less than half of U.S. employees have been trained in First Aid, CPR and AED. Employers are responsible for providing a safe and healthful workplace for their employees and this includes proper training in First Aid, CPR and AED.
MedCardiaction offers affordable First Aid, CPR and AED certification classes for individuals and groups throughout the South Bay Area. We offer certification courses by the American Heart Association, the authoritative source of research and study.
Effective CPR and AED care can more than double a person’s chance of survival. A person faced with an emergency such as a heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, or choking may be saved if someone at the scene have had the lifesaving skills and techniques that can be acquired through CPR training.
MedCardiaction offers affordable CPR and AED certification classes taught by expert instructors. We provide Instructor Led CPR, AED and FIRST AID courses ONLY. (No self taught blended easy way out with a life in the balance). Will you rely on yourself as a provider OR as a victim to someone who watched it on a video once? Roll up your sleeves.

BLS refers to Basic Life Support which is a type of care that first-responders, healthcare providers and public safety professionals provide to anyone who is experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress or an obstructed airway. It requires knowledge and skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using automated external defibrillators (AED) and relieving airway obstructions in patients of every age.

MedCardiaction teaches American Heart Association BLS Provider and BLS Renewal certification classes.

During the BLS course, healthcare professionals learn how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

BLS Providers learn to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give highquality chest compressions (rate, depth and different obstacles faced),  deliver appropriate ventilations (rate, volume and techniques) and provide early use of an AED (electrophysiology, when, why).  Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Heart CPR offers certification courses that meet the Pediatric first aid, CPR and AED requirements of the State of California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) and satisfies Title 22 requirements for CPR & First Aid Training for Childcare Providers.

This training is ideal for childcare workers, preschool teachers, camp counselors, and anyone who works with infants and children or has an interest in keeping children who are in their care safe and healthy.

Participants Learn:

  • Adult, Child and Infant CPR
  • How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Conscious and Unconscious Choking for all ages
